We commission work from writers all over the world. If you have a story to tell, and you feel that it fits in with the overall theme of the site, then we’d be pleased to hear from you.
Wild Gateway features articles about travel, the outdoors, and the natural world. We want to provide writers in these genres with a platform they can use to share their work.
In order to provide this platform, we have to insist on the following:
You may choose to write under your own name, or using a pen name. Although most articles will be published using the name you provide, very occasionally we may choose to publish articles with a different name or without a name at all. We may also change or remove a writer’s name at any time.
If an article has to be heavily edited in order to reach the high standards that we require, then it is unlikely that the writer’s supplied name will be used.
Articles may be edited for length, style, and for any other reason. If we feel that editing has affected the message of your article, then it is likely that we will use a name of our own choosing, or no name at all.
All rights and ownership of any work that we pay for is transferred to us, and the work may not be used anywhere else without our permission.
Links will only be published with an article if they are pertinent to the content of the article. We will only consider publishing links to a writer’s home or business page if the article is supplied free of charge as a ‘guest post’.
Only on very rare occasions, or when the work supplied is of outstanding quality, will we consider publishing a link that is not directly relevant to the subject matter of the article .
